About Star Trek: The Courageous
This
is, at its heart, a story of a ship and a crew, traveling through the
unknown. Inspired by the book-based series STAR TREK: NEW FRONTIER
and by Jesse Catalano's love of the powerful future Enterprise-D from
"All Good Things," Jesse consulted with Edward H. Bart IV
and Nathan Faver, Esq. on creating a new alternate future for Star Trek.
Part of the elements from Jesse's first Trek story Starfleet Marines
have been carried over into the STTC universe. We set the story ten
years later in the Star Trek Universe from the TV canon of 2374, because
technology would be more advanced by then.
In the end result, hopefully
The Courageous will be a very enjoyable story series to read.
We've drawn upon inspiration and information from the current TV shows,
novels, technical manuals, and chronologies.
